Foot bridge at Japanese Garden

Can you tell I haven't taken any other photos since my trip to the Japanese Gardens? But I do want to share the ones I captured there. It was disappointing as gardens go...I thought. I expected more water with koi and miniature temples.....
Lovely capture of the bridge in the shade of the trees. It is rather disappointing when something doesn’t match your expectations.

Did they have raked gravel? Fascinating to see that.

Love this scene, I want to cross over the bridge and look at what's there. ( Oh perhaps not if it's not exciting!)

@wakelys thanks for your nice critique. one has to visit these places to know what the hold.
@carolmw @carole_sandford @jacqbb @jernst1779 @haskar @milestonevisualmedia @cashep19 @sherimiya Thanks everyone, you all got the "story" of the image, that makes me feel good!

@ggshearron I like that you see a narrative in this! Thanks!

@shutterbug49 It's nice contrast, isn't it? Thanks for your visit!

@30pics4jackiesdiamond So cool that people saw a "story" in this photo and imaginations took off looking at it. They didn't have a Zen rock garden, the reflecting pool was blocked off with the most un-photogenic caution tape, no koi pond....the large pagoda building, this characteristic foot bridge, red symbol gate were really the only clue that it was a Japanese garden....it was a good exercise in "making a silk purse out of a sow's ear...."
