Here's an attempt at a more "formal" still life with some of the same elements from the previous set up. I used my crystal pitcher to set a more elegant feel vs. the metal pitcher. I think I should have tried a more formal flower arrangement...which photo answers your suggestions better? Critiques on this welcome, too. Thanks all!
I love the colours and composition. My preference would be to see a little more space above the jug. We all see things differently and I appreciate others may not agree with my comment
Hmmm... I find this amazing! Can't argue with our colleagues here, but I just love this.
I do agree that we see things differently. And I like it when this happens.
@joysabin Yeah, as you can see I tried to elevate the pitcher, but not high enough. I should have completely changed the flower arrangement. I agree with you and thanks for comments.
@suez1e Yeah, I think I know what you mean, there could be more "breathing" space around the whole arrangement in the frame. Thanks for your comments and support.
@monikozi Seeing things through our own experiences and relating based on those life encounters is what makes art so interesting. Thanks so much for your kind comments and feedback.
I somehow missed seeing the previous two still lifes. I am finding it challenging to keep up with viewing and commenting on everything lately. I really like what you’re doing with these. You might try playing with the lighting in both the shoot and in post. Some of the lighting seemed to have a flat effect - but then I probably don’t know what I’m talking about. With this one, maybe seems a little crowded.
I like this one- and still love the colors. Yes, varying the height would help it seem less crowded at the top. Rather than raise the pitcher, I'd just use a few less flowers and put them in a very small vase- like a bud vase. All in all though- a beautiful set-up.
