Starburst by timerskine

Starburst

It was a glorious day outside when I grabbed this shot of the nearest star.

The starburst pattern is created by the very small aperture (f22) I used...the blades on the lens aperture give the effect.

Two things should be noted here for my fellow shutterbugs: 1. I used the LCD screen to frame the shot since looking through the viewfinder has the exact same damaging effects as looking directly at the sun; 2. If you are going to shoot into the light, make sure your lens is clean...mine was covered in pollen :-(
Perfect starburst. I like the clouds around it, too.
