It was a seriously dreary day. The cloud cover was thick, but just after noon there was a (very opportune) area of thinner clouds that allowed the sun to peek through.
Just like seeing the sun during a total solar eclipse, it's is amazing to see how small in the sky the sun is when it's not at full brightness.
