The Missus (and the dogs and cat) bought me a new long lens for my upcoming birthday so I took it out to Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge to try it out.
I came across this great blue heron. It was looking for an early dinner as a winter storm was approaching. I was standing out in the open when I shot this and it wasn't bothered by me in the least.
