I passed Corporate Landing Middle School* when I saw this great egret in the pond that separates the school from the main road. I swing into the school parking lot and parked in an empty space. As I was getting out my camera I realized that the space was reserved for the Assistant Principal...so I got this picture really quickly, packed up and went home.
*Seriously, it's named Corporate Landing because it's on Corporate Landing Boulevard, a relatively new road built for office buildings. I guess it could be worse: the school sits at the intersection of Corporate Landing Boulevard and Dam Neck Road. I'm sure that many parents would cringe at their kids going on about their school, Dam Neck Middle.
Such a most excellent capture of this elegant bird. I am glad that you didn't get 'brought' to the principal's office. Interesting names for roads there.
