Heading back to the "Twin Cities" from the North Shore we encountered many accidents do to icy conditions. From Lutsen to Tofte we encountered
heavy lake affect snow causing white out conditions. We could not see the road and stopped at Tofte to decide what to do; the locals in the Holiday gas station said the bands of snow cleared up down the road so we went on. She handled the suv with skill and caution. This is the first accident we encountered on the long way home.
