A window to the past or future ! An old small hydro electric generating facility located at Lutsen Resort
on the Poplar River where it flows into Lake
Superior. It was a small generating plant designed
to supply electricity to the resort. Long abandoned
for the modern "coal fired" large central generating
plants. One can see some of the machinery through the window. Hopefully
renewable clean energy will be in our future.
