Tried several days to get a good shot so one could see the eyes and color, but most of my shots the heads were dark monotone and the eyes disappeared into the darkness.
So this morning walked through some snow, wet marsh, and got into the cattails around the pond with the sun at my back to get the eyes and the
hidden rainbow of colors on the males head.
