Badwater Basin located in Death Valley National Park is 282 feet below sea level, surrounded by Mountains. On August 17 2020 130 degrees f /54 degrees c was recorded. The salt flats cover nearly 200 square miles. Throwback Thursday: photographed on February 6, 2018 developed last night
Looks to be a very desolate place...for good reason.

Awesome vast desert scape! 130 degrees...omg. It was 118 this past Aug. near Palm Springs and that was beyond oppressive.
