Used to be called that, then it was a state hospital. Closed to patients in 2003. It’s enormous. On over 600 acres of land and more than 25 buildings. It housed 2500 patients at its height. Now, the grounds are kept up, but the buildings have been shuttered. There is a debate about converting this into an arts center and housing. It’s for sure a creepy place.
