I went to the market today, and thought my choice for the picture of the day would be kale covered in snow, or red cabbages covered in snow or cauliflower covered in snow.... But then there was a flower stand with such an abundance of roses and tulips that I almost filled the card with pictures of orange, red, purple, pink.. pure color. However, my favourite was this one - Amaryllis flowers gently packed, almost looking like they are sleeping in the box.
I am not very happy with the shot itself though - I wish I could remove that folded piece of foam sticking out into the air in the foreground (but I din't want to handle guy's merchandise), and I wish I would have included more of the long beautiful rain-drop-filled stems.
As always, thank you for stopping by. I will be glad to read any reactions, comments and critique!
Thank you all - Misty, Susie, Branwen, Nova and Ruth! I too had to think of the spring looking at them, and you are very right, Branwen - the foam really does look it's their pillows! @klarinettegal@susie1205@rducky@novab@ruthmouch
Hi Vera, thanks for your comment and favourite on my image. I have had a look at your images and like the quality and range of styles you are producing so am going to follow you. Best wishes Bob
Thank you, Bob! I am glad you liked my pictures, and thank you for the follow. I hope they won't disappoint in the future - I am only starting thinking about photography beyond just snapping an image. There is more fascination about photography than the actual knowledge of how to do it, and the whole 365 for me is an attempt to get away from just snapping pictures of the kids. That's why probably you might see all kinds of things in my pictures that I am - in fact - noticing for the first time! @bob65
Thank you, Junko! I am in Ludwigsburg, which is just near Stuttgart. I looked through part of your pictures - they are amazing! Something to aspire to. @jyokota
Most of my time in Germany is spent in Munich, where I live every summer, and I've also spent four months in Berlin. I'm getting ready to move to Poland for five months! New follower, by the way . . .
As I am finding on 365, people have very interesting and exciting lives, moving between countries and taking great pictures as they do! Very inspiring on both counts! Munich is a wonderful place to be, especially in the summer! And I will be on the outlook for the travel pictures from Poland. :) Thanks for the follow, and I think I just might follow back anticipating all those interesting photos that are yet to come ! @jyokota
@vera365 -- and who knows, our paths may cross in person some day! Germany, USA, and I noticed you've lived in Russia, and I have plans to go to Moscow in March. It's fun to meet up and do live photowalks together.
@jyokota It is getting more and more exciting - now you are also adding Russia to the mix! I am from Saint Petersburg, lived there for 22 years. And yes - I will see in your pictures when you are in Germany I guess, we can see if the passes cross indeed! :)
Thanks for the follow a while back :-)
