Pop Art Angel by vera365

Pop Art Angel

While watching TV, I was playing around with the shots of the Angel I took today on the main square (the hand shot is in the other album). This is a really cropped version of the face, which kind of made me think of Pop Art. Or Michael Jackson. Or Pop-Art-Michael-Jackson. Thanks for visiting!
Love the cropping for this B&W, fav for me!

Thank you all for visiting the Pop-Art-Angel! I am glad I had a second look at the photos that day. First overlooked this one, and I am glad that the second time around this one stood out to me. Although the resolution is not that big since I cropped it a lot, those eyes stood out to me quite a bit. Thank you so much for stopping by and leaving a comment! It is very much appreciated.

As I told you earlier, I went to the museum today and I saw Man Ray's Glass Tears http://www.wikiart.org/en/man-ray/larmes-tears Your photo reminds me so much of it. What a coincidence!

@californialover Thank you for sharing, Ute! I got the crop right!!! :) But I also think - the artificiality of it, and a hint of tragedy - be it tears or crack in the face, plus stark contrast with the pale tones of the skin and the black framing of the eyes - that is gives a lot of parallels.

Love this image, Vera!! These eyes just won't let me go, and the crack..so creepy! Definitely a fav! Reminds me of the final state of the witch from Tim Burton's Dark Shadows by the way..
