Ok, it's been a huge while since I wasn't sure about uploading a picture... but here it is. Something completely out of my comfort zone and way over my editing skills.
But at some point I had to try it and today was the day: my get-pushed challenge from @overalvandaan this week was to create a picture with the theme "music". And with his Elsa obsession, my younger one has been "performing" the song from the movie more or less non-stop, being completely lost in his imagination full of snowflakes, icy blasts and magic. That's how the idea for this picture was born - him singing with his hands, and the swirl of magical flakes all around him. A bit cheesy, but that's all I have to offer today! :)
@overalvandaan - This week, I really took the "get pushed" idea to be really pushed into something new. Now I leaned how to change a background for a photo and how to add an overlay. Pretty choppy and with no precision, but I worked it out. Hope you approve.
Not cheesy - just showing great emotion and your texture adds to it so beautifully! I never saw this picture/music but know its so popular with this age group!
@alophoto :) You know, my older one is quite sceptical about his brother being so much into a "girly" movie in the last year and a half (count half of his life!). But then I do remind him that at that age, I would come and pick him up at the daycare, and he would be wearing a princess dress too. And always asked (and got a permission from the daycare) to take the dress home to be a princess in the evening. :) He is OK with that now :)
Fabulous processing, it is so magical. I am sure he will be fine with this photo when he grows up.
When I was 6 years old I had birthday party and one of the people who came was my best friend Joyce. Her brother Alan wanted to come too but didn't want to be the only boy so he came dressed in one of his sisters dresses. He still has the photo taken at my party and shows it regularly to his grandchildren. He tells them to be what you want to be and everything will be fine in life.
Great you tried something out if your comfort zone. It turned out well, can almost hear the song. He's adorable, he looks totally immersed in his role! Love this imaginative play. We got a bucket full of dress up clothes and my eldest, a boy, also now and then puts the fairy dress on. He says he loves the shiny, sparkles.

Thank you very much for your encouraging comments! I can report one thing - the next morning, I showed him the picture and his reaction was ..... "Mama, can you make it louder????" - so I guess, the theme "music" was right!
