Alpine Slide

I took the kids to the Alpine Slide today. It is on Mt. Hood at one of the ski places. The people ride up the ski lift and slide down the two slides. They also can take a bike up the lift and ride a bike down the mountain. Along with the slide, there are so many other activities...too many to list here. I have been on one of these in NZ & they are great fun if a bit scary...it was about 5 years ago & might not do it now mind you!!! Bet the kids loved it !!!

There used to be a great alpine slide up at Boreal in the Sierra Nevada mountains--one of our favorite things to do.

@marlboromaam it is not outrageous...you can buy individual rides or any kind of combination...1/2 day, full day, add in other activities...you name it. It is a dry slide but they ride down in a scooter type thing that has a brake if needed. It winds back and forth down the mountain and gets going pretty fast.

So fun!!! I did this 1 year ago and learned the hard way not to lean when coming around curves....took off a couple of layers of skin. Ouch!

Looks like fun. We've never done this. We saw a bunch of these while on our trip. It would be fun sometime to do a trip of all the alpine slides and compare which are the best.
