Wind Pottery

We were in Newport to watch my oldest son run a half marathon this weekend. This morning on the beach, I found a sight I have never seen before...rows and rows of formations from the wind. Some looked just like space ships, others were spinning tops, mushrooms, pottery. It was quite a sight!!! and my son was first in his division! a fun weekend with my son, his wife and my two oldest grandkids. oh and my husband too!
Wow, cool find, and well captured.

So cool and love the texture of the sand!

@aglennc it was Agate Beach...I am pretty sure that once that upper sand is dried out from the winter, they will all be gone. Something I have never seen before. At first I thought it was sandcastles left behind by some kids...very busy kids to make so many! but up close I was amazed at their beauty. nature is so awesome

@espyetta yep, that is what my husband said when I got back from my walk and showed him the shots! He had to go out and see them for himself. I took a zillion shots of them
