I'm still not well, but I'm a bit better than yesterday. I couldn't take a day off work because I had some important stuff to do, but I felt better as the day wore on. However I'm not well enough to step outside for a shoot so I set up a simple shoot indoors.
I had to select one of my earlier test shots, as it didn't take long for the drink to get flat. I didn't get the lighting how I wanted initially but I actually quite like how this one came off. In post-processing I really increased the black tones, as well as the clarity and contrast.
I've just watched something on TV about East Midlands architecture. An exhibition about fifty interesting buildings from the past fifty years is touring, seventeen of which are in Nottingham. There's a few places that are very familiar, including places I've already photographed (such as the University of Nottingham's Jubilee Campus and Attenborough Nature Reserve), but some I haven't yet. It was a timely reminder of some of the places I need to visit, and I'm looking forward to the exhibition when it's on locally in early 2011.
Semi-professional photographer based in Nottingham, England, I shoot mainly events and weddings. I'll be posting my work using my Fujis - X100S and X-Pro1.

OK, so I think you changed your photo while I was writing a comment. It was a snowy one before. What I was going to comment was "Great photo. Could you tell me what white balance setting you've used here please? I was having problems with mine this evening."
As it is, I'll got for "nice photo, I like the bubbles. :-)" But would you still tell me the white balance for the snowy one please? :-D
