I put up our Christmas tree this evening. I'm not the most festive; in fact my parents stopped putting up a tree when I was not even in double digits, age-wise. It wasn't until I moved in with my better half that a tree became a mainstay of the festive period, and I now look forward to putting it up because I like how it looks. Of course, I had to take a picture.
I thought it would be simple, but it took me ages to get the composition I wanted. It still needed something to make it better, so in post-processing I added a few sparkles and this effect.
My Canon 7D is still in situ at the delivery depot. Apparently they tried to deliver it twice last week, but they had to abandon their attempts because of the adverse weather. I rang the delivery company and they have a huge backlog, so it could be a while until I get it. How annoying; I just want to play with my new toy!
