It was my turn to cook tonight. I decided to make spicy burgers, and my first task was to cut the onion. I found part of a white onion in the fridge, obviously left there for a few days. Slightly withered, I thought it made for an interesting subject.
I knew as soon as I took it that I wanted to apply my oft-used black and white treatment that I've used a few times before. I did exactly that, and after a few tweaks I got the photo I imagined.
I'm popping up to my old workplace tomorrow. It'll be weird making the old journey and seeing my previous colleagues, even if it is only a couple of weeks after I left. I'll take my camera along too, just in case.
Semi-professional photographer based in Nottingham, England, I shoot mainly events and weddings. I'll be posting my work using my Fujis - X100S and X-Pro1.

I love the scratches on the board below.
I mean, I love the whole photo, but the marks standing out looks cool.
I'm not at the "photo in my head stage" I generally take a snap of what might work and see if I can photoshop the hell out of it.
I love your black and white shots.
