Today was a day for visiting the family. First I went round to my parents and watched the football, and later I went round to my grandparents. My little cousins are usually there, and today was no exception.
I've documented my little cousin Taran growing up a few times. I took a photo on the day he was born on day 122, another with his elder brother on day 131, and the most recent on New Years Day, which was day 230. 172 days later, here's another shot of the little cutie.
This shot took a lot of editing. The processing to achieve the monochrome with the brown tint was the easy part; getting rid of the background was difficult. I almost chose another photo because it was so hard to remove, but I love his expression and I wanted to get it as close to perfect as possible. I don't think I quite got there, but I'm pretty close!
I spent a lot of time on today's photo for a reason. I just think this photo would be a wonderful present for my aunt and uncle, as it's personal and unique. I haven't printed any of my shots so far during this project, and I think this shot would be a good start.
Semi-professional photographer based in Nottingham, England, I shoot mainly events and weddings. I'll be posting my work using my Fujis - X100S and X-Pro1.

great shot vik.. well worth all the effort... I too haven't printed any of my snaps, keep thinking I should as one or two might look quite good (in the spare room anyhow...lol)
This will definitely make a wonderful gift for your aunt and uncle. You will be their favorite nephew after giving them such a beautiful portrait your little cousin.
