What's cookin'? by vikdaddy

What's cookin'?

I went for drinks after work tonight with my colleagues. It's the first time since I started my new job, and it was nice chatting in a more informal setting. I got back a little late so Suman and I ate a takeaway, which is something we rarely do in the week.

I then watched this week's episode of The Sopranos on Sky Atlantic, and that left little time to take today's photo. I ended up taking a few of the steamer that was cooking chicken for tomorrow's lunch.

It's obviously not the most inspiring of images, but at least I got to apply my oft-used trusty monochrome preset in Lightroom!

My rule is to eat healthily during the week but have one day off. I eat fresh food and lots of protein every week day, and then on a Saturday I pig out and eat chocolate and a takeaway. It means I don't feel like I'm missing out, and it's something else to look forward to every weekend. It works for me, unless mid-week drinks are involved!

I actually think you captured it really well Vik... hope your juggling things a little bit better now and enjoyed your evening out

I do like this processing... can't seem to mirror it in picnik or picassa and will have to wait til I get a more powerful laptop before I invest in LR..

Awesome! I was cooking my nephew noodles earlier. He came up to me with a frown because he was hungry and no one wanted to cook him his noodles.
