Very nice portrait of the two of them and the close bond that exist between the two.
I am especially touched by the pride mom takes in her daughter as evidenced by the intricate braids and barrettes in her hair.

It is a great capture, I think b&w would have slightly more impact as you would loose the red that doesn't add anything to this very good picture.
