This was my first sewing machine. It was Mom's when she was little and she gave it to me when I was about 10. Our house on Windward Drive had a screened in porch attached to the garage. Mom let me have a table and I would sit out there sewing doll clothes in my "sewing room." In the fall, when it got cold, I had to quit sewing (although I remember sitting out there wearing a scarf and mittens). I have a very vivid memory of making a dress out of white fabric that had pink flowers all over it. I wish I still had that!
