What is it with me and chain link fences lately? I made Jack go back to the marina with me to try (for the fourth time) to take pictures of the wood ducks. He said he would only go if I didn't talk to him -- this meant "don't ask me any questions about school." I'm totally obsessed with these silly ducks. I googled them and found out they eat mostly plants including blackberries and wild cherries. So . . . I bought some incredibly expensive blackberries, and went back hoping to entice the ducks to come closer so I could get a good photo. You will notice this is fluff and not a duck. Too many people at the marina. No ducks! Gee whiz! We drove to another part of the Occoquan but no ducks there either. While walking to look at the waterfall, I saw this bit of fluff stuck in the fence. Love the little feathery tendrils. Jack threw five of the blackberries into the waterfall. I've saved the rest and I'm trying one last time later this week when Lily goes to dance.
