Went to a wonky log cabin quilting class taught by Natalie Weaver who founded a chapter of the Modern Quilt Guild in northern Virginia. Loved it . . . lots of improvisation and Natalie has a very "anything goes" attitude so for me it was very relaxing. After seeing photos of the red and white quilt exhibit in New York a few years ago, my goal is to make one red and white quilt every year. This will be my first one. Of course I only finished two blocks because I spent a lot if time talking to my friends Debbie and Brenda.
Looks like so much fun. I did a 'crazy' quilt using a similar technique a few years ago, but with a solid colored pentagon in the middle. I love the red and white idea color schema!
