sunday in the park with lily

These were the three contenders for today's photo . . . most taken by Lily. Some of my friends pick a word for each year and I like words so I thought I would do that too. My word -- if you haven't already figured it out -- is "persevere," which I decided to write on the chalkboard wall in the back of the Torpedo Factory when we went there today. And if you can believe it, when we came out of the Torpedo Factory an hour or so later, Someone Had Erased It!!! So I had to persevere and write it again and then wrench the camera away from Lily so I could take a picture of it. One of the many things I like about the Torpedo Factory is that there isn't just art in the studios . . . it's all over the walls and the poles and other unexpected places too. The hydrangeas are painted near the now infamous chalkboard. They are one of my favorites. After our walk through the factory, the boys went for a walk down King Street and Lily and I went to a little park down by the river where we saw this little girl feeding the seagulls. Perseverance was in the air. And birds. Lots of birds. If she hasn't been so cute (don't you love her handmade walking stick?!) it would have been a little creepy. I mean there were a lot of birds. But I persevered.

How did you get the 3 photos on one?

@glassjennifer Well . . . I thought it was a little harsh but I still laughed. The 3 photos in one is from an app that Lily put on my phone called Pic Stitch. I think it is free and fun and easy to use.
