Lily and I spent 45 minutes in Bath & Body Works trying to get the best deal for our coupon, then went to Target where we spent 2 hours trying to get the right number of items and brands to get the best deal on household items and snacks. Then when I got to the register, I hadn't texted the "code" to get the $10 off coupon, so Lily had to go back to the soap aisle, then she had to run to the back of the store to get the code for the snacks to get the $5 gift card (this is doubly "funny" if you know Lily). Then, of course, I had the wrong Tide to get the other two $5 gift cards, so the manager had to be called. You can imagine the Christmas cheer of the woman behind me, who only had paper towels. (Lest you think ill of me . . . I had already let two people go ahead of me and the cashier had already started ringing up my items before paper towel lady got in line . . . also, Lily was back with the codes before he was finished ringing up my order. And, I did have the right Tide, but it didn't ring up correctly, so it really wasn't my fault that they had to call the manager.) Household items purchased: 57; Christmas presents purchased: 0. Sigh.
