We've been there! But I don't remember having cupcakes... There may have been vultures. It looks considerably better than it did 2 years ago. There was stuff growing on it then. (I just looked at my pics).
@margonaut Cool! We brought cupcakes from home . . . my son's birthday is right before Christmas so we usually celebrate in January. The pyramid looked good but they were irritated because I wouldn't let them cross the railroad tracks to get closer. It was our first time at that park/battlefield. The vultures were at another park -- so creepy!
@wiesnerbeth LOL, I was just kidding about the cupcakes. Although we probably did have donuts in the car! Did you get to see the grave of Stonewall Jackson's arm? Must not be too far from there because it was next in my pictures. Talk about corn - it was literally in the middle of a cornfield.
