I've been helping teach a night class for our ELL parents. Tonight they were supposed to bring something that told something about themselves. This mother made this traditional dress with the colors of the flag of Afghanistan. I love the pompoms around the bottom. You can't see it in the picture, but she's wearing a red scarf that also has more pompoms around the outside. Her daughter told her this is what she should show us.
