there's a sad sort of clanging from the clock in the hall
My lovely neighbor is planning to move back to Nebraska in the summer. I'm already sad about that. She's making the quilt for me as a good-bye present. I think that's supposed to go the other way but I'm so happy I'll have this wonderful reminder of the years we spent sewing, walking, cooking, and watching the birds from her kitchen table.
