The chrysalis has hatched (? — what is the correct term?). Must have happened just before we got to the garden as the kids found this monarch under some flowers. My second graders are doing a “symbolic migration” project, which means I get to take a different class out to the garden every morning this rotation.
@margonaut I’m probably more excited than the kids are. There’s usually a lot of yelling if I take them outside — especially if, God forbid, they see a bee.
