Was unpacking some boxes that had been stored in my closet when I pulled out the bottom box and the entire bottom broke open. It was filled with quilting fabric — all of which was soaking wet and starting to smell. Found another box of fabric, also smelly and soaked through, and the baseboards in the closet had started to mold. When they pulled apart the wall to see where the leak was coming from, they found a beer can and paper stuffed inside. Over the last two days I’ve washed, dried, and folded about 70 yards of fabric — most in quarter and half yard pieces. Had to throw out about 4 yards worth, so not bad overall, but still incredibly annoying. Good thing I had another snow day today.
