Yes! Ever since I made a shirt for a young man last year, I've been thinking about how much fun it was. Like immediate gratification compared to quilting. Might have to make myself something if I can find a pattern that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Have you seen the prices of patterns these days? Yikes!
@margonaut I know! I think this pattern was either $14 or $17 (I can’t remember) but not too bad. I bought the fabric (plum fine wale corduroy) for $1 a yard and the plaid shirting lining in this picture for $4 a yard so it’s not costing me too much in case it all goes south.
@wiesnerbeth "not too bad"? Sounds super-expensive to me! What happened to the days of the $5.00 pattern? And even then, you could get them for 1/2 off sometimes. Glad you showed up, I was beginning to worry about you.
@margonaut I don’t think I’ve ever bought a pattern for clothes and this is “cheap” compared to quilting patterns! Glad to be back — I’d like to say I’ve been doing a lot of sewing and not had time to post my pictures but mostly I’ve been spending too much time on Instagram.
