I thought I'd buy a pomegrante the other day as I remember them from my childhood & my kids had never seen one. After cutting this pomegranate in half I became enthralled with the colours & the juices flowing everywhere...but on googling how to prepare them I found out that you shouldn't cut them you should break them in half! Oh well, next time :)
We breed lots of birds and they LOVE pomegranates. Fabulous colours aren't they. I didn't know you had to break them in half. That would be quite tricky I imagine. Way easier to cut.
@murnane thanks Marg, we breed Weiro's & Budgies but I've never thought to try them on pomegranates...as for breaking them in half, not sure how hard that would be but I'm sure that when we ate them as kids we didn't cut them first :) @bill_d thanks for your comment Bill
@dhartley thanks Debbie, not quite how I remember they looked, I thought they had more of the red bits but maybe this one had been sitting around for a bit too long.
