every year us girls get together for an amazing weekend break. Fun, sun. laughs & drinks are always very high on the list. Although it all starts out very civilised, with a walk along the Mandurah estuary, (this time spending a bit of time with the balloon/magic man who had a sign out saying "too young for the pension, too proud for the dole" he merrily sells his balloon animals to the kids for a couple of dollars & often throws in a card trick to boot)., it can end up quite messy :)
From there it was lunch at Murphy's Irish Pub overlooking the estuary...yummm...on the way out we spotted the sign in the right of the collage, third one down (Husband's creche).
From there we headed on down to the house where, as always, everything was ready & waiting for us. A relaxing afternoon was spent in catching up on what we had all been up to since before Christmas.
We wandered down to Cobblers Tavern for a fantastic dinner, then back to the house again where our lovely hostess supplied us all with a bottle of "touch-a-bubbles" which we had great fun with. Then it was into the lollies & a few games of "spoons" before bed in the early hours of the morning.
@murnane I agree Marg, our little investment group meets once a month to buy a few shares, but more importantly just so we can all catch up, eat great food & enjoy a couple of drinks & many laughs, then once a year we head down to Falcon for the weekend. We always have a fantastic time, we are such a diverse group of women that probably wouldn't have come together under normal circumstances but we all get on so amazingly well with none of the bitchiness that usually comes with a group of women :)
