corella's in the flame tree

I spotted this flame tree full of Corella's this morning & couldn't resist taking a couple of photo's. First off I pulled out my little Sony Cybershot p&s then I took a couple with my iPhone...the one on the top is the iPhone shot, while the one underneath is the Cybershot. I was amazed at the difference in colour between the two, now I wonder whether or not I bother to cart the Sony around with me? What do you think? Any idea why the colours look so washed out in the bottom photo?
The colors don't look washed out on my monitor, but if you feel they need brightening to match the photo above you could always give it a "boost" in the photo editing program you use. Both photos are lovely and it's nice to see the surroundings among the close up shot below. Amazing to see all the beautiful white birds on this tree. What are they?

@cimes1 thanks Carole, maybe it's my computer (laptop) I guess I should have a look on the desktop one to see if there is as much of a difference as it appears. These white birds are Western Corella's a white cockatoo native to south-western Western Australia & it's not uncommon to see such flocks of them, they are not popular with farmers & growers but I love to see them.

I wonder if the colours in the bottom one are more realistic?

Great find! Sometimes on my P&S, I find the colours fade if I zoom in. Maybe that was the issue here?

I can see a difference, I would use whatever you are happy with though :)
