Burano is the island in the Venice lagoon known for its brightly painted houses and handmade lace. This abundance of color took on its meaning in the Antiquity as colours were used to delimit properties, and according to the legend used to help fishermen recognize their house when they came home after fishing. When you visit Burano, you must see the leaning Bell Tower, the Campanile, and enjoy the tranquility of the streets, the colors and flowers that adorn the balconies of their houses. The weekly market is held in front of the church every Wednesday and you should not miss a visit to the fish market where are sold all kinds of fish typical of the lagoon.
Looks beautiful.
