Left Nostril Please

This is Alzheimer’s Sniff Test!
Can you believe that some researchers found “people in the early stage of the disease (Alzheimer) had difficulty smelling peanut butter through the left nostril”? This is reported in Journal of the Neurological Science.
I read this last night; my laughter woke up all my sleepy cells.
That's a really weird discovery. I wonder how they found that out. I like that you have included whole peanuts in their shells next to the peanut butter.

That is such a strange piece of science! Why the left nostril? Does this only work for peanut butter? So many questions and we'll never know the answer! Love your recreation of the sniff test and I agree with Alicia about the way you've put whole peanuts there as well as the spread. Great shot..

Love this...you are getting very creative! Uh, oh....didn't smell the peanut butter....maybe because I hate it and closed the left nostril! Great shot and informative commentary!!!!

Heaven help you if you have a cold when you take the test. Nice shot. Did you eat it afterward?

@kathiecb I admire that you think logically and imaginatively at the same time. That would be disastrous. I did not eat it after I played with it for so long. What a waste.

I can't remember where I was reading this but that would mean something in their right brain wasn't functioning (left side of the brain controls the right side of the body and the right side of the brain controls the left side of the body). That is very interesting but who knows what it means? I guess if you are aware that you're losing your sense of smell it might help prevent the disease from going any further if you get treatment right away. At any rate, your picture makes a snack of peanut butter look very tempting right now!

Such an odd finding -- and given how often I eat peanut better, I can self-test easily!
