I love old colonial style houses and this is one of the few I've seen beyond repair. I've been passing this house for years and there always seemed to be someone following to closely behind me to stop. Today I braved the know trespassing sign just long enough to snap this pic
@jillmstruss@maggiemae@yonnie Thanks for the comments. I wish I knew it's history. @swrws Yes the grass is that way due to the lack of rain. Most of the grass in the area is ok but that which has been let get too long or cut too short has all turned yellow
I like the sky showing through the house. We have many abandoned old houses in this area and I always wonder about their history. And you're right -- sometimes the car behind you does not allow you to stop and take a picture.
There is an old historic house (on the National Historic Register) in my hometown that continues to crumble... breaks my heart! Guess your photo may help preserve a little history!
