The second half of my July will feature photos I took on my last minute girls' getaway to Catalina Island, California. After a 12-hour travel day I made it to "Hollywood's Playground."
One of the first things we did was see the Wizard of Oz at the newly-renovated and reopened Avalon Theatre. It was a real treat for me to sit among the Art Deco-ness with friends, eating popcorn and watching a classic film. The perfect way to start a vacation even if I did doze a couple times. Getting up at 2:30 a.m. to make a 5:50 flight then traveling among the airport mess all day isn’t easy.
