Ande and I had such a fun adventure today. We drove top-down (about 45º so we put the heat on) on Route 52 and took the ferry over to Augusta, Kentucky for the day.
We ate lunch at the pub then visited the Augusta Distillery — been there since 2018 and on its second phase of its four-phase expansion. We drank bourbon hot chocolate (tasted like a bourbon ball) and on our quest to see all the Kentucky Bourbon distilleries, got our Field Guide stamped.
Drove back on Kentucky's AA Highway, stopped for BOGO ice cream sundaes at Graeters then did fried chicken dinner at the Purple Poulet. They have over 550 bourbons and ryes to choose from which was overwhelming for Ande. He ended up picking a number and tried Larceny, a small batch bourbon from Heaven Hill, which he really liked.
What a fun Valentine's Day. Hope you had a good day with your valentine, too. ❤️
