This is home. The tree is one I love. Instead of an evening run I took a walk (mainly because the cold is not going away... sniff, sniff). The moon is nearly full. My parents have flown to England today and were met by my very excited sister. So lovely for them to all be together. We are used to being apart but I miss them today. I always think it amazing that no matter where we are in the world, we can all see the same moon. Out here the bush fires and dust is making the sky very hazy. It makes the moon look like it has a little halo.
There is going to be an amazing moon on the 23rd, best viewed in your part of the world. I hope you can get some shots. Fabulous picture, I just love that sky!!
Super fantastic photo. The intensity of the orange in the sky with the moon is amazing and the haziness really adds to the mood. It really is amazing that we all look at the same moon. Hope you're feeling better from your cold soon.
@mamamia ah thanks so much Joanne, hope you decide to carry on with your 365 :-)
@paula1 I always find it amazing that we all see the same moon... somehow makes our big world seem quite small really which is lovely when family and friends are spread around the world
@derekvickers thank you Derek. So happy I can share a little of my world with you
Awesome ! Beautiful colors and love the lonely tree. Love your story too Nicky, so different than with my family...everyone within a 2 our ride with the car and most of them within an hour
Such a beautiful capture. The color is just incredible. I would never tire of seeing this.
It's funny, I was saying the same thing to my hubby last week about the moon. I have lived most of my life in a different country than my family, as well. They are all in the UK while I am in the NW USA.
Congratulations - 2 on TT! I wondered why I hadn't seen either of these 2 shots as I thought I was following you after your zebra shot, I must've not clicked the button! Darn it, but corrected
