Fish for Lunch by zambianlass

Fish for Lunch

I know we all have to eat but I have always struggle to watch things like this... I can't help but feel sad for the poor fish... The other day my friends daughter told me how they had watched a leopard eat a baby porcupine (like a hedgehog)... sob... I would have struggled to not interfere watching that. I know it is nature and in Africa you see life and death all the time... but I still find it so hard. Anyway this bird loved his fish and isn't he a beautiful bird (I am shocking with my bird names :-()
A breathtaking capture nonetheless!

Think this would qualify for the Local News Segment Big O Fish. Well except the pictures are mostly of kids and their catches.

Nature is hard for sure. I've watched these guys grab a ground squirrel and drown it before eating. I know what you mean about interfering. It's hard not to.

Fabulous capture.

Looks very similar to our great blue herons. Ours are fearsome predators eating fish and sometimes, I have been told, baby ducklings, if they get too close.
