Went to see a japanese lesbian movie on the LJ gay&lesbian festival. The event was special because there was an interview with the director and screenwriter in the end (in japanese). The director was a lady that made over 400 movies, so called pink movies - soft porn movies, because in the 1960s that was the only ganre a woman could direct. After the 400 movies she directed in 40 years she decided to start filming other kinds of movies because she went to a women film festival in 1989 (I think) and another female director got an award for being the most productive female director - she made 7 movies.
