In need of Kitty-Cuddle at the end of another "typical Lunenburg" day, this is my representative photo for the moment until I have time to collage my favourite event of the day.
I hit the ground running at 7:30 and began baking "cheese biscuits" (crackers) for the Lunenburg Gallery show and auction this weekend. (I seem to have fallen in with friends who do a lot of catering up here...) That took until early afternoon, and then I got ready for Lunenburg's first film festival...all documentaries. It was an *AMAZING* evening...but more about that in another photo caption...
By the end of the night, there was Fred waiting for us on the bed...such an awesome little guy. Even this morning as I type, he's, again, curled in my lap, his head resting on my arm...
Thanks Fred...Life is good...I couldn't want for more!
Well it looks like Fred knows what you need after a long day, and it sounds like our days during this past week. Today I hope it slows down. We won't have a Fred to make us feel relaxed, but we will have cuddle time with little Scarlett all day. Looking forward to that.
@seattle OMG...I thought of you so often as I was watching a couple of these films! There was a short called "Train of Thought" ...fabulous narration as the photos were of people who ride the subway in NYC...totally your photos! There was also one called "Meeting Sebastiao Salgado", a Brazilian (born) photographer who covered the world...amazing photography! Google him... The films have ALL been fabulous...tonight there's one called "The Girls in the BAnd" about female jazz & big band instrumentalists from the late 20s to present and about what it's taken to break into and be accepted in that arena! We also had a fabulous art auction/wine tasting gala between films in another venue yesterday...and we went to the dock briefly to watch the schooner races...that didn't go well as it was too windy! FULL DAY! The DocFest is a 3-day/all day event... Crazy-wonderful life up this way!
@Swazzette Just in case you get these messages, tell Deb about the note above that I just left for Constance... It's going to be an amazing film, I'm sure!| Absolutely *no time* to write email...barely get a photo posted each day... think of you often and hope all's well... (I need to be sequestered for a week to just catch up...a little... xo♥
Just got in the door now - safe and sound! We're both tired of driving and it will be so good to sleep in our own beds for once. Many, many, many thanks again for the wonderful evening and for Rob's surprise. Will send you a separate email when I get settled and can send you a few pics of our trip. Took 2500 so think I will be busy. ;)
Awww....Fred! Our two cats are glued to us at the moment - Steve is talking non-stop and Gigi won't leave Rob alone. I really missed them when we were gone and glad they didn't forget who we are! ;)
Awe! I just want to give him love. So sweet! Your film fest sounds like a ton of fun. We have them in Austin but they always get so packed and can get pretty pricey - so I've never attended. Love watching Indie films though. Glad you had a great time. :)
