Wow, it is really rare to see these birds to be in town, but as it turns out, there's a family in the trees not ten feet from our house!! What an incredible treat to discover them today and get to watch the parents zipping in and out of the trees feeding their three kids (two shown here at left). I got home too late so missed them all huddled together, however, Heather (@pixelchix) was home earlier and got some really nice pics of the whole family. Check 'em out! :-)
I've been watching a couple of Bluebird families in Orange County, they are incredibly active supplying the chicks with food. I need to post a few shots, none this crisp though. Great light.
