This lovely evergreen branch with beautiful little pine cones was the victim of last night's prolonged and violent (for our area) windstorm. This is my offering for Thankful Thursday, as I am very thankful that none of the huge trees that sit close to our buildings were toppled! It was a wakeful night as the winds whipped around us with up to 55 mph gusts. Tonight should be more restful!
@linnypinny Thank you, Lin! Yes, winter is here; but, so far, it has been a strange one for us. First it delayed its arrival by nearly three weeks and now we have had this big wind/rain/snowstorm all rolled into one! Normally it is too cold by now to have to be concerned about rain (rain in Alaska in November = icy roads for the remainder of the winter)
