Something we were all taught as children when first learning how to safely cross a street! In this instance, obviously, it is not a street but is a railroad crossing. While searching for a better access to the melon field where we saw the bear (see my Overflow Album for the 28th), we had to cross the railroad tracks. Sadly, though, once across them our way was still barred. So I decided to just take this photo. LOL
Many thanks for your visits, comments, and favs. All are very much appreciated!
Striking. I used to walk across a railway line as a child all the time. No signs there though! I used to put my ear to the track and if there was a whistle in the line, a train was coming so I would wait. Simple things of childhood! Our risk averse world now would shudder!
