At Jo's (belated - postponed from 2020) 60th birthday party, playing for the evening bal.
We made a point of leaving on time for the celebrations as the hotel Jo had booked us into looked very nice. Little traffic and we got there spot on check-in time at 3, closely followed by Anna. Spent the next couple of hours relaxing in the sunny garden with its wild bee-friendly patch, Japanese water corner and koi filled pond - downing a prosecco or two. Joined by Julian and wife, and later by R and H, and C and S.
Got dressed up-ish and made our way to the hall opposite for the party - a workshop with Jo F and Sam and H playing. The most splendid tasty Indian menu for supper and birthday cake before the main event. Lots of old friends there: Jane B, Chris and K, Claire, and Elena and W also turned up, with a very lively F. Band were on top form and I did a lot of dancing - knees were more or less okay if stiffened a bit by the end of it.
Jo had booked out the whole hotel for guests, so we had a lovely session in the bar after. Eventually made it to bed just after 2.
