Some of you long-in-the-tooth 365ers may remember lovely Rich Tyson's from-above Trafalgar Square bench life series. Pre-concert at Kings Place this evening.
Damp with light to heavy spells of rain throughout the day. Love it when I sound like a weather forecaster. Toyed with yomping round the wetlands but in the end watched Roman Holiday from the point I'd fallen asleep yesterday.
Ventured out into the rain later to King's Cross for a really good meal at vegan Mildred's: spinach gyoku, fennel sausage and mash and a shared ginger toffee pudding. Short walk from there to Kings Place and Lady Maisery's album launch. Their repertoire has changed strikingly with a set of stunningly mature songwriting with inventive listenable musical arrangements on a wide range of instruments including feet and body percussion. Highly recommended.
Home accompanied by whizzes and bangs from Guy Fawkes Night fireworks.
3 good things
1. A delightful, luminescent Audrey Hepburn in her first major role.
2. King's Cross is so easy to get to - door-to-door in half an hour and Kings Place continue to have a fine adventurous programme of music.
3. Seeing the development of fine young musicians and songwriters.
I love nosey parkering photos like this! You could almost see in that handbags! I zoomed in to have a closer look! Blind date article…sounds a sensible choice on a rather dreary November Saturday!
I love this image - so interesting to get a sneaky peek at what these folks were reading, drinking, eating, whilst waiting for whatever. Love Mildred's restaurants and our kids do too!
